     J. Kew 씨의 TeXWorks 윈도우즈 버전을 잠시 시험했다. 당연한 것이지만 현재 상태의 TeXWorks를 작업에 사용하기는 힘들 듯하다.(즉, 오늘 이 시간까지는 여러 면에서 SumatraPDF + KC2008 Notepad++이 더 편리한 환경임에 틀림없다.) TeXShop 정도 수준의 작업 환경이 되려면 얼마나 더 기다려야 하는 걸까?

     2008년 하반기 TeX world에서 핫이슈는 역시 Windows에서의 pdf inverse search와 XeTeX이었다고 생각합니다. 이 두 가지 모두 성공적으로 따라잡을 수 있어서 매우 다행입니다. 현재 pdf inverse search는 SumatraPDF와 TeXWorks가 있는데, TeXWorks의 실용화는 아무래도 시간이 좀 더 걸릴 것 같다고 판단합니다. SumatraPDF는 이 정도면 최종 출력물을 얻기까지의 작업 과정에서 이전에 dvi viewer가 하던 일을 충분히 더 잘 대신할 수 있다고 보입니다.

     TeXLive의 기본 에디터는 texworks 이지만,
     혹시 texworks를 update 하다가, 실수로 texlive도 같이 update되면서,
     소스를 가져와서 설치하려면 (우분투 10.04 기준으로) 다음 명령어를 차례대로 실행합니다. 앞 부분은 TeXWorks를 컴파일하는 데 필요한 프로그램과 의존 패키지, 그리고 실제 소스를 내려받는 부분입니다. cd 명령어 뒷부분은 소스를 컴파일하고 자동으로 설치한 뒤, 소스 디렉터리는 지워버리는 명령어입니다.

      이 쯤에서 탐색기를 열어서 이 폴더(`C:\TeX_Work`)로 이동해보자. `test1.log`, `test1.aux`, `test1.dvi` 등의 여러 파일들이 새로이 생겨나 있다. 만약 MiKTeX-KTUG을 잘 설치했으면 `test1.dvi`는 [Yap] 문서 아이콘으로 표시되어 있을 것이다. 이 파일을 더블 클릭하면 [Yap]이 실행되면서 문서를 화면에 보여준다.

      저도 집, 회사 다 설치하였습니다. KCmenu작업을 하여야 하는데, 솔직히 NPP+KCmenu+sumatrapdf 혹은 Texworks 두가지 다 큰 문제 없이 운용되니, 바쁜 업무 핑계대면서 수정작업을 하지 못하고 있네요. ^^; 아직 KCmenu.exe가 texlive2009에 맞게 수정하지 않은 것을 제외하면, 그냥 큰 문제없이, 심심하게도 잘 돌아 갑니다. ^^; 게다가 KC2008때와 localtexmf는 구조도 같을 것이고 하니, 삽질할 것이 대폭 없어 졌고, 한글도 xelatex으로 그냥 쉽게 되니, 심심하게 잘 되어 서운할 정도 입니다. ^^; 어쨋든, KCmenu가 TeXLive2009와 부조화가 있는 것(?)은 확인하였으니, 빨리 손을 보겠습니다. 아마 아직도 KCmenu쪽에 불만사항이 나오지 않는 것을 보니, 다들 포기하셨거나, 아직 KC2008로 최대한 버티고 계신 것이 아닐까요? ^^; -- [likesam]
     완전 대박이구요. ^^; 너무 잘 쓰고 있습니다. TeXWorks도 생각보다 편해 잘 쓰고 있습니다. Preferences에서 tysetting에서 명령어 조금씩 바꿔서 쓸 수 있어서 편하고 쾌적합니다. NPP도 좋았지만, Windows 7과 궁합이 안 좋은 걸 생각하면... 어쨌든!
     다만, 저만의 문제인지 모르겠는데, texworks 윈도우7에서 설정 파일이 두개가 생기더라고요. 바탕화면 클릭에서 뜨는 놈과 *.tex 파일을 클릭해서 뜨는 놈의 설정 읽는 위치가 다릅니다. 이건 Ko.TeX-2009의 문제는 아니고 TL-2009에서도 그러했습니다. 각기 두개의 설정 파일 위치는
     C:\Users(한글 윈도우라면 사용자)\{계정}\texworks -> (*.tex 파일 클릭시)
     C:\Users(한글 윈도우라면 사용자)\{계정}\.texlive2009\texmf-config\texworks (바탕화면 클릭시)
     || TeX Live || texworks || 추가설치가 일체 불필요 ||
      * TeXWorks는 TeXLive의 일부이므로 지속적인 업데이트가 보장됨

     [wiki:KoTeXLive ko.TeX Live]가 TeXWorks라는 훌륭한 에디터와 작업환경을 제공하지만 때에 따라 자신에게 익숙한 별도의 환경을 마련하고 싶은 경우가 있습니다. 이것은 [wiki:KoTeXLive ko.TeX Live]와는 아무 상관없는 사용자 자신의 에디터 설치/설정에 관련된 것이므로 자신의 책임으로 하면 됩니다.
