TeXShop은 말하자면, 겉포장지입니다. TeX 엔진이 내용물이니 이게 없으면 무용지물이지요. 매킨토시에서는 TeX 엔진으로 [teTeX]을 가장 많이 쓰며 이중 유명한 배포판은 Gerben Wierda's TeX 입니다. 이것은 다음 링크에서 받으실 수 있습니다. TeX-FAT를 받아서 설치하시면 됩니다.

[teTeX]이 깔려있고, TeXShop도 설치가 되어있다면, 영문tex파일은 LaTeX하실 수 있는 준비는 되신 겁니다. TeXShop은 텍스트 에디터로도 쓰입니다. 깔끔한 인터페이스가 예쁘죠.^^;

MacTeX 2008/2009/2010, 설정

  • TeXShop -> Preferences에서 기본 설정하기
  • Source (대부분 디폴트이므로 확인으로 충분)
    • Encoding => Unicode (UTF-8)
    • Document Font => 취향에 따라
    • Editor -> Line Numbers (check)
  • Typesetting (대부분 디폴트이므로 확인으로 충분)
    • Default Command => XeLaTeX이 기본임. 원하는 대로 선택한다.
    • Default Script => Pdftex
