3) GPL has a certain virus quality of forcing all derivatives to
be GPL. LPPL is less aggressive (and actually therefore less secure

Apart from that they are just _different_ you can not say that one
licence is a supperset of the other. There are some things that you
can do under both licences, some just under GPL, some just under LPPL,
and things would not be allowed by either licence.
Richard Stallman (author of GPL) has been involved in discussions with
this licence (and the original legal.txt one on which it is based)
and does accept that this licence qualifies as `free software' in the
sense understood by the FSF and the GNU project.

개인적인 의견으로는, 잘 모르지만, HLaTeX 자체는 GPL이더라도 hangul.sty와 hfont.sty, hfont.tex 에 대해서는 LPPL이었어야 하지 않는가, 라는 것인데, 이 점에 대해서 어찌 생각하시는지 여쭤보고 싶습니다.
은광희 선생님께서 HLaTeX을 GPL이라 하신 것이 일반적인 의미에서 "자유소프트웨어"라는 의미로 말씀하신 것인지 아니면 GNU GPL의 (이른바 virus feature까지 포함한 비교적) 엄격한 법적 요건을 고려하셔서 GPL이라 하신 것인지는 개인적으로 여쭤보아야겠네요.

GPL을 LPPL로 라이선스 변경하기 위해서는 원저작자인 은광희님의 허락이 있어야 한다고 봅니다. LPPL에서 GPL로 변경하는 것은 원저작자 허락이 없더라도 LPPL이 요구하는 일정한 요건이 갖추어진다면 가능하지 않을까 합니다. 모두 저의 개인적 의견일 뿐, 법적인 결론은 물론 아닙니다. --DohyunKim
