poemscol 패키지는 정밀한 완성본 시집 작성시의 이용이 적절하다.특히, 시집 또는 시전집을 편집할때 유용하다. poemscol 패키지 에서는 행렬마다 줄 번호를 달을 수도 있고,또, 연이나 시 한 편 자체를 논리적 단위로 표시할 수 있다.

poemscol은 TeX의 자동 kerning, ligature 설정과 이의 line justification algorithm을 사용한다. poemscol은 fancyhdr, makeidx, multicol, geometry, ifthen, keyval, newmarn 등의 패키지들을 사용한다.
